I am a single woman living very very close to this development. I have owned my house 10 years. I walk my dog twice a day and very concerned about my safety especially after dark in the winter.I am also concerned I may not be safe in my house alone over night. This is an unacceptable planning proposal and whatever you plan will be reversed. There has been no consideration to the people that work hard to fund this illegal proposal and what they say must matter! I live on fort road and feel that its gone crazy from 150 people to 600 people that mean alot more cars up and down the roads making it a lot busier house prices have dropped why should they have a doctor's on site when I can't even get to see my own doctor and this goes for dentist I've paid taxes all my life and feel its so wrong

I OBJECT I don't think this should go ahead. It will be too noisy , too many people and too many cars for this area. Too big and high, much bigger than buildings nearby. Should go somewhere else, not here. This area is not suitable for this development. Should be in an industrial estate like the other immigration places, not here, because it's too big, too noisy, too near to people's homes. Gosport is a small coastal town I feel this development will have a affect on people buying property in Gosport and also the New Development at Haslar , also as a resident concerned about the size of the building and the effects of having a large detention centre in a quiet costal town . I am concerned about the size of this proposal and what appears to be a huge over development when other projects have been limited by scale. I can not see this development being in keeping with the existing, generally low-rise coastal architecture as well as its impact on the community There is no precedent for an IRC of this scale in such close proximity to residential area. With regard to the Haslar Immigration Removal Centre plans that we, as residence have not been consulted on. Gosport is an extremely important part of this country's heritage. Gosport houses our wonderful naval communities and was an essential part of the D Day landings when brave British and Canadian troups left Stokes Bay, in many cases never to return home. These events and so many deserve to be respected and the area needs to be maintained as a heritage site for the present and the future. We fully understand the need for the IRC, however the planning process does not include Gosport Borough Council (GBC) Councillors or Planning Officers in the approval process whatsoever. Furthermore, the final planning decision will be taken by The Planning Inspectorate, not your local Council. I would definitely like to attend a meeting if there is one. I am not happy with this being near where I live at all but making it bigger is even worse. We are a very small area and I can not see how these men are all going to get doctors , dentist and hospital appointments as I struggle to get one .
