I formally object to this application for the expansion of Haslar Immigration Removal Centre. The reasons are primarily, but not exclusively as follows: The application should be considered at a local level. I formally request a public inquiry so that the application and evidence can be scrutinized properly. Inadequate communication and lack of proper consultation. Presenting a few posters, is not consultation and not the two way dialogue we were promised. Noise has not been considered thoroughly. The proximity of homes has not been properly considered and neighbouring people have not been consulted.significant intolerable noise will be problematic at all times of day and night. This is simply unacceptable and cannot be denied. The evidence is already there in the form of the noise disturbances caused by contractors currently onsite. This is well documented. Transport access and parking are all issues that have not been addressed adequately. The access roads are limited and to overload these will cause safety issues. This is a residential area that is not capable of supporting such a huge over development that has not been properly thought out. The sheer mass, scale and height us unacceptable and not fitting for a small coastal residential area. Finally the information is not forthcoming and is inadequate due to being so heavily redacted. It is not possible for us to fully understand the implications of the proposal, which is not fair or transparent. Something that will have such a major impact on the local people must be considered at a local level, to do anything else is unjust and criminal. The strength of feeling is enough to show you what the decision should be. Going ahead with this monstrosity would be unbelievably detrimental to so many good, law abiding, tax paying British citizens. Do the right thing.
