dear sir/madam ________________________________________ IN THE CROWN COURT Statement of: █████████████████ Concerning: Systemic Abuse, Human Rights Violations, and Operational Failures at Campsfield House Immigration Removal Centre (IRC) 1. Severe Physical Assault, Lack of Institutional Accountability, and Staff Incompetence During my period of detention at Campsfield House IRC, from 24/03/2026 until 08/06/2026, I was subjected to severe physical violence, during which staff members perpetrated an aggressive assault that resulted in my tooth being broken. Facility management failed to initiate an official investigation, accept corporate liability, or facilitate my access to justice. Furthermore, staff deliberately activated the facility’s water sprinkler systems with the malicious intent to inflict prolonged physical and psychological suffering. These actions constituted a gross violation of fundamental human rights and a flagrant breach of the statutory duty of care expected within a secure environment. Additionally, the personnel demonstrated comprehensive operational incompetence and a structural evasion of responsibility; regardless of the nature or urgency of the questions or requests raised by residents, staff systematically refused to assist, providing a standard, dismissive response of "I don't know." 2. Structural Inadequacy of Medical and Dietary Infrastructure The facility completely lacked the basic infrastructure required to provide statutory and acceptable care. Following my severe physical injuries, the provision of healthcare was practically non-existent, leaving critical physical and mental health needs entirely unaddressed. Furthermore, food supplies were extremely scarce, with substandard meals consisting of leftovers from previous days regularly served. An infrastructure that systematically failed to meet the statutory requirements for 160 individuals could not legally or logistically accommodate an expanded capacity of 400. 3. Institutional Sabotage of Legal Defence, Language Isolation, and Data Protection Violations in Welfare There was a documented, systemic failure in administrative transparency and access to justice at the centre. When detainees attempted to independently submit official legal applications or documentation, Home Office personnel deliberately failed to record these files into the official administrative databases, thereby violating the fundamental right to due process. Furthermore, staff regularly blocked mandatory video-link legal consultations under the false pretext of technical failure, creating a direct and unlawful restriction on the right to a fair legal hearing. This sabotage was further compounded by language isolation, as staff refused to contact interpreters when residents did not speak English, leaving them entirely unprotected. In addition, data protection regulations were completely disregarded; personal and confidential data belonging to residents was left entirely unprotected within the Welfare department, resulting in a serious breach of privacy and information security. 4. Systemic Bias, Intimidation, and Malicious Disciplinary Actions Racial prejudice and institutional bias were openly displayed by Home Office and operational staff. Any attempt to assert basic rights or officially report abuse and discriminatory treatment resulted in immediate rejection by management. Furthermore, staff actively filmed or recorded residents to exert intimidation and psychological pressure, aimed at silencing them and halting the complaint process. This was routinely followed by the retaliatory use of the "Part C" behaviour reporting mechanism as a blatant tool of institutional intimidation. 5. Arbitrary Restriction of Services and Recreational Space Indoor spaces designed for rehabilitation, education, and basic well-being were systematically restricted. Educational and personal care facilities, specifically the Art Room, Library, and Barbershop, were kept permanently locked. Access to the Gym was governed by the arbitrary discretion of the manager rather than structured operational schedules. Furthermore, staff utilised meal times to exercise aggressive physical surveillance intended to actively incite provocations. ________________________________________ STATEMENT OF TRUTH I, █████████████████, believe that the facts stated in this witness statement are true and accurate to the best of my knowledge, information, and belief.
