I strongly object the plans for the IRC. The home office have not gone through the correct planning process which would give residents a say on the matter. They have not been transparent and have been very secretive which is a big red flag. What are they hiding? The original plans did not include THREE story buildings which over look into people's houses just a few meters away and they did not say they would be SUPER SIZING the IRC to 600 beds! All the traffic movements throughout the day on an area that doesn't have the infrastructure for that level of traffic movement is ridiculous and going to cause alot of problems for the residents. They now can't sell their houses (no one will want to buy them) and so are now stuck with no way to escape this. They have now made the residents prisoners in their own homes!!! That's a terrible thing to have done to these people whose lives have been completely taken over these past two years from this building site which is effectively in THEIR FRONT gardens. Nevermind the clay soil particles floating around from the dust bowl that's been created at the sites from the movement of heavy vehicles and the dry weather we've had. The residents are breathing that in 24/7 and will have health implications in their later years due to this. That's a healthy and safety breach right there. No hording was put up until the residents complained to environmental health and even then the half hearted job they did was ineffective and looked like a child had done it. They should be ashamed and embarrassed of their work. I feel so sorry for these poor residents who live directly opposite this site. How would you feel if this was bring done in your front garden?
