I consider that the expansion of this project will have a detrimental effect on the surrounding population, and local infrastructure. The centre is located at the tip of the peninsula, and can only be accessed via three minor roads. Due to the residential nature of the surrounding area, there isn’t the necessary parking that will be required for the increase in both staff and visitors alike; problems have already occurred with residential roads being jammed with the developers' cars and vans, with the very narrow coast road being used by heavy/large lorries. There is also an inadequate transport system that would not be sufficient to support any members of staff or visitors needing to access the site. The local road system is already under increased strain by development in the local area with the building of residential properties. The immediate neighbours to this property are being put in the unenviable position of being overlooked by this proposed three storey building, whilst seeing the value of their properties, and those in the surrounding roads decrease with the inability of being able to sell, and I fear for their mental and physical health whilst under such pressure that this situation can and will bring.
