We were led to believe that the Haslar Immigration centre was for the detention of illegal immigrants prior to their removal. However it has now been divulged that detainees could be released on bail !! No information has been provided as to where the bailed person will go, whether they'll be collected and transported out of the area or if groups of young men could be wandering about gosport when we have no knowledge of their background and any previous criminal activity. Until this has been sorted I object wholeheartedly to the immigration centre. I would like to attend a hearing if one is scheduled.
