At a public meeting we were assured that any buildings created would NOT exceed two storeys in height. This pledge seems to have been disregarded. The lighting that has already been connected is very bright but, fortunately, currently lowly placed in the road adjacent. We were also assured at the public meeting that illegal migrants would not be allowed to roam but it would appear that bail is being considered - again this would be a broken pledge from government to general public. Numbers of migrants have increased from what we were told, this is unacceptable. We are continually being inconvenienced by the workforce parking their vehicles in the local roads when a car park has been provided for them! Delivery drivers have real problems delivering goods to our houses. A directive to all staff and future visitors to the site to use this car park would be a sensible solution. Gosport, as a peninsula area has limited road access with regular traffic jams. This would undoubtedly increase in the future. The infrastructure is not here. As we already experience great difficulty in getting doctor appointments in this area, the planned expansion will exacerbate the problem as well as putting added pressure on Queen Alexandra Hospital which is a 45 minute drive to Portsmouth on a good run. I trust my views will be taken seriously and the three storey expansion will be stopped. It would have been far more sensible to convert the buildings to a converlesent home to ease bed blocking. If a hearing is convened, I would be willing to attend.
