This proposed development is becoming unsuitable for purpose. Whilst Gosport residents understand the need for an Immigrant Removal Centre, the development is expanding and there are currently no guarantees of local security preventing imminent deportees finding their way onto local streets and also how long this facility will be needed. Then there is the cost, which, along with everything else in this issue, is ruinously expensive and draining on national resources. HMG needs to get these answers and assurances to the residents of Gosport soon or there may be more dissenting voices and local unrest.
