This will impact the local area in a number of detrimental ways. 1. Noise pollution - arrivals and departures at all hours. At any point there may be over 1000 people in the facility and that alone will increase noise. 2. Light pollution - the pure scale of the buildings will affect the light. The security lighting alone will damage the right to light. The light pollution will be increased with road traffic. 3. Environmental pollution caused by increased vehicles and engines 4. Unsafe parking as there is not the correct car parking Vs the staff/visitor numbers. This also will affect access to local housing for transport and emergency services. The whole area of Haslar and Browndown are being highly regenerated and the is simply not the infrastructure in Alverstoke & Gosport to support it. The GP’s and dentists are failing and struggling to cope. Gosport is a beautiful town with a long heritage and this is being lost to developments and Haslar removal centre is not even close to being within conservation look of the area.
