Gosport is a very small town on a peninsula served by already very overcrowded roads and with little public transportation. Any increase of traffic to and from the Haslar site will add to traffic problems. The building works on the site have already caused two years of noise caused by the prolonged building works on the site and has had an impact on housing prices locally. The local population is extremely worried about the prospect of 600 men being,housed in our town, and there is nothing in the published documentation which has in any way alleviated their fears. There are also concerns that local services - already overstretched and inadequate will be unable to cope with any extra strain put on it.
