Natural England: Request for extension Natural England were consulted on this development proposal on the 14th July 2026. On the 30th July we discovered that key documents relevant to our response were redacted. In order to expedite a response and avoid sending a formal response seeking access to this documentation (which would reset our statutory consultation deadline), we sought to gain access to the relevant documentation directly. We received access to this on Wednesday the 5th of August and hoped to complete review and respond by the deadline today. Unfortunately, our comments on the documentation are more substantial than we had first anticipated and so we notify you that we expect to return detailed comments by Friday the 14th August. While we appreciate that deadline extensions are not normally permitted by the Inspectorate, we hope you appreciate that we have only had access to the relevant documentation for two days and make an exception in this case.
