I am appalled that this development is being pushed through for possibly 600 inmates when the town cannot cope currently with it's own infrastructure for medical, housing and educational needs. I have no objection to having a centre there but the sheer size and disruption of it all will cause to local residents is something that has not been adequately considered. I am also worried that the coastal path will be restricted and this path is currently important for public access to the beautiful areas of Gosport that we moved here for. We should not be denied access to local areas of natural beauty. My final concern will be surrounding the safety of the site. I understand it will be locked but no security is completely infallible and this place will be holding offenders. No thought has been put into the medical needs of these people and whether these will be more important than the needs of local residents who cannot access doctors or dentists - or the hospital- eadily. The pressure on these services- and the sewage services also will be immense and impractical.
