I am deeply concerned about the changes in size/height of this development, about potential changes in its use, namely from an immigration removal centre to potentially an immigration bail centre and also I am concerned about the huge amount of traffic that will plague our neighbourhood. I am extremely unhappy that should some illegal immigrants be granted bail that they will be free to roam the streets of Gosport or will just disappear into the black economy, or go on to darker things like thefts, rapes or murders, as we see happening in so many of our towns and cities. Removal centres should be exactly that, for people that are being removed. What impact will this also have on our local NHS services when the number of inmates will be increased to 600? I am disgusted that our local council, and the local residents, have been given no opportunity to have their say on this development, which has been hijacked by central government. I’m very concerned that these illegals my get an opportunity to walk our streets putting us all at risk, potentially leading to public unrest and disorder, house prices dropping and potentially seeing an increase in houses of multiple occupancy filled with those alien to our British values and way of life. We have already see massive upheaval in the use of our local roads during the construction phase so, we have already lost a large car park for locals to enjoy when visiting Haslar Wall, and the damage to our roads is still ongoing. This development will be an eyesore on our locality and on the beautiful refurbishment works currently being undertaken on the Haslar hospital site.
