I am opposed to this proposal. The expansion from 130 to 600 ‘residents’ is too big a leap, the current site is not suitable for this number and would require significant redevelopment at tax payers expense. The local community cannot tolerate an influx of a rotating 600 residents with associated antisocial behaviour drinking alcohol and loitering, as well as sexual violence against women and girls. Gosport is an area of deprivation, it is not suitable for a holding centre of the proposed size. This proposal should be rejected.
