Yes I would like to attend a meeting. Gosport doesn’t have the infrastructure to cope with this proposal. GP, Dental and hospital will be affected to the detriment of the people of this area. The clientele’s needs will be met before the local population. Water and sewage is already a problem in this area. Roads in and out of Gosport are not satisfactory and an increase due staff and clientele movement will only make it worse. Parking will be an issue. Housing and schools for staff will be an issue. Police presence and availability is a major concern should trouble arise with that amount of people. I have great concerns that the parameters of this establishment will be altered and inmates will be able to venture into the neighbourhood. People are deported for a reason one of which is criminality. I feel safe here, I won’t when the unit is opened. Haslar should have accommodation for Veterans especially homeless ones with mental and physical health provision. This should have been provided before all this. They have paid their dues in many ways, these others have not. Ill thought out, rushed with little concern for the town and its inhabitants.
