Raising concerns over the proposals for phase 2 for the Haslar Immigration Removal Centre. Living very local to the IRC I am concerned over the construction of the building to reach 3 stories. Negatively impact on the aesthetics and character of the area. Furthermore, the lack of clarity and planning for transport to and from the facility. Will cause further disruption with traffic congestion and noise throughout and day and night. There is limited parking available and this is exacerbate the issue. Also concerns about the facility and its impact on already under pressure health care and local services. I strongly believe it is only fair that a project such as this should go through the local council as they have a better understanding of the impact on local residents and the wider community.
