I object to the plans submitted to GBC by the Home Office for the following reasons: Transport Links: 1. Adding to the proposed traffic movements of 700 plus per day from the IRC. There are 1200 new homes already in progress in Haslar Hospital redevelopment, which is half a mile from the IRC. Also within 1 mile of the IRC there are 3 other sites for housing redevelopment. The current road structure ( which consists of 2 roads ) will not support this huge increase in traffic. Both the 2 roads pass 3 schools and a highly populated housing estate. 2. Local Enviromental Impact. I have accepted Stage 1 & 2 of the IRC redevelopment. However Stage 3 is totally unacceptable due to the huge increase in number of immigrants within the Centre. 50% approx will be released on Immigration Bail……in the local Community! I would like to attend a hearing in the event that one is scheduled.
