I oppose the home office plan to increase the height of the new buildings at Haslar IRC. The original plan was for a substantially lower building which local people had accepted. It seems the government have totally ignored the wishes of local residents. I understand the need for the facility, but the increase in size and capacity seems inconsiderate and badly planned. Gosport is a peninsula and does not have adequate infrastructure and services to support the proposed increase in population.
