Yes I would like to attend a hearing This is my objection to the Home Office plans for phase 2 for Haslar Immigration Removal Centre. The plans are so heavily redacted it is hard to make sense of some of the intended building plans. I object strongly to the building of 4 three storey accommodation blocks These will actually be 4.5 storey height once the plinth is included. These are completely out of character for the area. They will tower over the neighbouring houses which are just metres away, overlooking their homes and taking away their right to privacy. The 600 men housed in these blocks will cause a huge amount of noise 24/7 hours, there will also be lighting pollution and residents lives will be intolerable. Why are the rights of these men in these blocks given more attention to their human rights than the residents of Fort Road who are not mentioned on these plans. The local residents will have all their human rights taken away should these buildings plans go ahead. Is this fair . NO IT IS NOT. The residents houses are now unsaleable. The residents can't move away. THEY ARE THE PRISONERS NOW IN THEIR OWN HOMES.
