Myself and my Daughter would like to attend a hearing. I am totally opposed to this development of the Haslar immigration Centre.Since the build started,there has been nothing but falsehoods & disturbance given to us.Had the site, remained the same,albeit with updated and refurbished buildings,for the same amount of detainees 120.There would of been little objection.To place 500 more onto the same footprint is totally unexceptable,The infrastructure is not big enough to hold that many people humanly, with enough space to live& exercise.Especially all male,some transferred from Prison. The extra building is too high,it is not in keeping with the heritage of the area. The amount of extra traffic,our local rd,Fort Rd could not cope with the influx of vehicles to serve the Centre. The noise,dust and pollution we have had to endure thus far,from the building. Is extremely stressful and our mental health is suffering too.This will only get worse with Phase2.We have been living in a building site for two years now &it is enough!!Thank you for hearing my objection.
