I wish to object to the proposed development for the Gosport Immigration Centre. My reasons are the lack of infrastructure. Residents of Gosport already struggle to get doctors appointments and NHS dental appointments. Gosport is already a deprived area, to introduce more people who will eat into our very limited NHS resources will make the town even more deprived. Gosport is on a peninsula. During the rush hour the traffic to get in and out of Gosport is diabolical. It is also quite bad during the day, depending on the day of the week. More traffic will make it impossible for the residents. Our roads are already in a terrible state of repair - more traffic will make the roads ever worse. I understand that we are letting prisoners out of prison early due to lack of prisons. As the detention centre was already used as a prison before it was closed, it would be far more sensible to use it as a prison again to help our UK wide problem of not enough prison cells available. It also would not eat into our already overstretched NHS service.
