This proposal does not consider the huge impact on residents and the environment. Phase 1 activity has had a massive negative impact on local residents with sustained noise, air pollution and traffic problems including lack of adequate parking affecting residents on a daily basis. The proposal appears to consider one aspect only in that there is space to increase capacity regardless of the impact on the environment, local residents or adjacent regeneration activity. Notwithstanding the challenges of managing the immigration system, this proposal is a crude solution that sadly falls short, is insensitive to the local environment and residents and provides inadequate infrastructure to support the ongoing operational state in areas such as parking . The resultant outcome from Phase 1 was a general free for all in the area and unsafe traffic conditions on local roads and streets. With the proposal and the operational state number it will be far worse. This site is not suitable for the proposal, and the impact on local residents some of whom live metres away should be a primary consideration. I would wish to attend any hearing.
