My biggest concern is for the residents that are local to the detention centre. They have already been subjected to so much noise and disruption made just from workmen going onto the site. Parking is already an issue in the area and this has been made worse. What exactly is it going to be like once it’s open. The site itself is subject to being extended and double/triple high buildings which will encroach on people living down fort road. Is the area going to be safe once it’s actually open? And how much public money is being spent on this project? Does anyone know? It’s such a beautiful part of Gosport that I feel is being run down with everything that’s happening and I don’t think local residents are being heard. Are the children and adults in the area actually going to be safe once it’s open? I object to the planning for all of the above concerns and more.
