This IRC upscaling is deplorable, there was no consultation process with local residents, some of which live only 50 feet away. This will become a three story, highly illuminated, fenced off ███████████. (Imagine you living feet away from a prison █████████████████████████). Gosport is a very small peninsular town, and this IRC is going to become the largest institution in Europe. This is TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE for all local residents who are already unable to sell their properties and will soon be prisoners in their own homes. Why was this not brought to the attention of local residents sooner, work has been ongoing to alter the previous young offenders prison into no doubt luxury cells for these █████████████████ for many many months. Shocking behaviour by government officials. I suggest they build this IRC next to their homes instead.
